I
hate my job. I hate my job. I HATE MY JOB!!! I work for a factory, a
fine job for some, and I salute those who can handle it and feel
fulfilled in life, but it seems like an impossibility at my
workplace. I am employed by a place that offers decent peers, but
management incompetent to the point of a need for clinical
treatment. We make very menial wages, most of us no more than nine
dollars an hour. (This from a rich and growing company that has a
veritable monopoly on it's field.) Now I live in a state that has a
shrinking economy and an ever expanding cost of living, so nine an
hour is a very tight and uncomfortable amount to live on.
My favorite story (and most maddening) story of why I loathe the
place so much, is this. A few months ago, during a very busy period
in which we had been working a lot of overtime and cranking out a
ton of production, some of the fat cats got together and decided
they wanted to have a company meeting. So all the floor workers came
up to the front and were addressed by a couple of the corporate
bosses. (I don't even know who the assholes are, and I have no clue
how many bosses I even have) Any way It went something like this.
"We'd just like to tell you how good a job you are all doing, this
year already we have made a 3-4 MILLION dollar profit. Fantastic job
people, keep up the hard work" "Oh and as a thank you for that we
have doughnuts in the break room."
DOUGHNUTS!!! We make you 3 MILLION BUCKS and you get us DOUGHNUTS!!!
I have never been more insulted in my life. This is a business that
employs no more than 60 people so it seems like with the amount of
money, they are making, they could afford at least a small raise for
us, or a bonus, or SOMETHING... but doughnuts, dammit. Doughnuts.

I hate my job! I am doing the work of two people. I am an assistant
editor but I am also responsible for cataloguing books for the
library. I am not given enough time to do all of my job duties. I am
underpaid for the work that I do, considering that I do the work of
two people. Every time I ask for overtime to catch up, my boss says
no! Right now there are 15 books at least that need to be catalogued
for the library but I have 4 courses to edit. I also review course
evaluations. I asked my boss if I could have two hours to review
them and make copies of them because I am behind on them, I have
evaluations all the way from November, and she said wouldn't one
hour be enough. I said I guess so but it turns out that it took me
an hour and a half and I am still not done with them but I had to
stop working on them to go back to editing courses. I am almost two
months behind on course evaluations but my boss won't give me enough
time to catch up on them. I don't understand why I am never allowed
to work one hour overtime here and there. I am doing the jobs of two
people but am only getting paid for the job of one person. They
hired a temporary librarian for a few months but got rid of her. The
fact that they needed a librarian to begin with tells me that they
need one person to do that job alone. I have three main jobs -
editing coursework, reviewing course evaluations, and managing the
library. They only let me work 40 hours a week - so how they expect
me to do the work of two people is beyond me. I hate my boss and my
job!

I hate my job,
I hate my boss, I hate the kids and their
dumb-ass-over-breeding parents. I hate my job so much as soon as I
can
afford it, I'm getting a vasectomy. Stop having kids!!!!
